

Simple Apple & Pear Puree for Baby

2 pears (about 160g prepared weight)
2 apples (about 150g prepared weight)

Method
Step 1
Peel, de-seed and chop the fruit into 2cm chunks.
This apple and pear puree for baby is unashamedly easy and simple to prepare, but incredibly delicious. If you have a vanilla pod in the kitchen, then split it open and scrape half the seeds in as you cook the fruit. Vanilla adds a natural sweetness and depth of flavour to our apple and pear baby food.
Our pear puree for baby keeps in the fridge in an airtight container for 3 days or freezes well for 1 month. Defrost in the fridge overnight and reheat on the hob or in the microwave until piping hot. Stir well and always check the heat of baby food before serving.

Place in a small saucepan with 8 tbsp. cold water and simmer with the lid on for about 7 minutes until the fruit is tender and a knife passes through it easily.
