Made with just two ingredients, our avocado puree recipe for babies is a simple and easy first food for the start of your baby led weaning journey.

Peel, remove the stone and chop the avocado.


In a bowl, blend to a smooth puree. This can be done with a fork, but a hand blender will give the smoothest texture (a food processor or blender can also be used).

Adding a tiny amount of lime juice when blending will help to prevent the puree from turning brown, but be careful not to add too much as you don’t want a sour taste. For an even smoother texture, push the puree through a fine sieve.
