Blueberries

Method

First wash and dry all the fruit, then prep; slice 3 strawberries in half and 1 into quarters lengthways. Slice all the grapes in half, lengthways. Peel the kiwi and cut in half then cut a thick round slice from the middle. Cut the orange in half and cut a thick round slice from the middle. As the orange still has its skin, cut this slice in half down the middle – so that it can be picked up and bitten into easily (or peel if you prefer).

Halved orange and kiwi with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and grapes

Now make up your picture, start with the grape halves making two flower stems

Halved grapes placed on plate creating flower stems

Add the orange slice with a blueberry centre to one stem, and a kiwi slice to the other flower stem.

Circle kiwi fruit placed above on of the flower stems. Orange slices halved and placed above other flower stems with a blueberry in the centre

Add the strawberry halves around the edge of the orange to make petals and the blueberries around the kiwi.

Blueberry halves placed around the kiwi and halved strawberry around the orange to create petals

Finally, create your dragonfly above the flowers with 3 raspberries in a row to make the body, then add the quartered strawberry to make 4 dragonfly wings.

To make dragonfly, 3 raspberries placed above flowers with quartered strawberries on either side for the wings

Why not get creative and make your own version, perhaps trying a butterfly instead of a dragonfly.
