What you need

Ingredients

40g of fresh basil
1 clove of garlic (minced)
40g pine nuts
30g freshly grated Parmesan
50ml olive oil
3 tbsp. of water (optional)
250g pasta (can be gluten free)

This baby friendly pesto pasta recipe is made with a fresh, homemade pesto sauce and soft pasta shapes. Perfect for introducing new flavours and textures to your little one.

Method

Add the basil, minced garlic and pine nuts along with freshly grated Parmesan to a food processor or blender, and pulse.

Once combined add olive oil and blend again until a smooth creamy texture is created. Add water if needed to create a smoother baby pesto.

Meanwhile fill a medium saucepan with water and bring to boil over a high heat. Add chosen pasta and cook according to packet instructions.

Drain the pasta and stir in the baby pesto sauce immediately- serve and enjoy!
